Re: Ms Sheila Cartwright, aged 69
Ms Cartwright, who has been diagnosed with unstable diabetes mellitus and small infected left foot ulcer requires ongoing care after being discharged today.
On 14 April 2017, Mrs Cartwright was admitted with uncontrolled diabetes for which medical hypoglycaemic agents has to be continue. daily saline dressing, for ulcer has been initiated. Antibiotic therapy was commenced and review upon course completion was recommended.
Ms Cartwright has had non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus since 9 years. As a result, Glybenclamide 5mg daily, metformin 800mg thrice times a day,Amoxycillin/ Clavulanas 125mg orally, twice a day. She is single, retired who lives alone in own three bedroom home and low income was reported. Increased alcohol consumption and low quality dietary regimen since retirement was mentioned. Self-administration of hypoglycaemic medication more artery problems has been reported.
As per the above forementioned circumstances, she requires monitoring on medication complaince, blood sugar levels, alcohol intake and diet. Moderate exercise program and establishment of social activities were encouraged. Your valuable suggestion in order to generate income-producing activity is inevitable. It is vital to know monitor wound margins and observe for signs of complications.
