Re: Ms Patricia Styles, Aged 62


Ms Styles is require urgent assessment and management for pericarditis, so need to refer into your care.


During home visit Ms Styles is feeling of chest pain, shortness of breath and fatigue because frustation of progress of recovery has been observed. On examination there will be low-grade fever and elevated in pube and respiration. Though the assessment suspected for complications of pericardities.


Ms Styles had hypertension, diabetes mellitus and depression which was managed with quinopril 10mg orally twice a day, metformin 50mg orally twice a day and gliclazide 30mg orally daily commenced. In 23 August 2019, got admitted to Green Valley Hospital with complaints of fever, sharp and plueritic chest pain, general weakness and malaise and tachycardia. In 24 August 2019, there will elevations in vital signs and blood investigation was noticed. Throat swabs revealed that viral influenza type B, In echocardiogram pericarditis was found and which was managed with intervenous saline and Ibuprofen 600ng every 8hrs and advised follow-up care on 30 August 2019.


Based on the aforementioned circumstances, provide proper assessment and management for above conditions and also need to monitor her medications. It would be profoundly beneficial.
